It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

We went on our annual outing to the Nativity display and the Christmas flower show yesterday. They had the prettiest pink section this year!

yummmm

Sophia and I made Buckeyes! She was quite the little chocolate roller, and the buckeyes are quite delicious!

We had a great time making these adorable gingerbread houses today! It was messy and sticky, but fun! They smell and look so good!

not exactly camouflage

Isaac and Sophia took advantage of the above average temperatures this week and went outside for a round of Civil War. Here's my little female soldier, suited up in pink and purple, staring down the barrel of her loaded purple light saber (aka Civil War issued rifle). If her brother's going to talk her into playing Civil War, she's at least going to be fashionable about it!

Tonight Isaac and Sophia were treated to a Christmas play followed by some yummy treats at McDonalds, and I was treated to some quiet, alone time at home! Thanks Nana and Papaw!

which would you "weather"?

The kids were so excited to see our first snow of the season today, little as it is. After school, Sophia carefully "shoveled" the deck snow into a pile, the way snow should be!

I would rather have this Palm Desert, CA weather!

blue skies smiling at you

With temperatures plummeting to freezing today after
being way above normal for over a week,
we're all wishing for this sunny,
dripping blue sky kind of day again.
Wishful thought courtesy of Sophia's painting
and her always sunny disposition.
