crazy for carpet

Here's the old, matted, crushed, dirty, stained, soiled, white builder's grade carpet that needs to go.

And introducing...the new, fresh, soft, warm colored Stainmaster Shaw carpet with a 10 year no mat, no crush warranty! I'm so excited! It's been a long 2 month decision. The kids NEVER want to go near another carpet store again! We got such a good price on the carpet that we're able to do the Master Bedroom too! Should all be installed next week, so stay tuned!

fallin' for a faucet

BEFORE

DURING

AFTER

I've always wanted one of these pull out faucets! We found some on close-out and Dad put it in the next day! Thanks Dad!

duck!

The hefty snow begged to be played with last weekend!

After getting a building permit, they set to work on a snow fort.

They worked hard...

and into the night.

After the finishing touches of peepholes were completed, the fort was ready for hiding and spying!

out of the blue

Here's a picture of my very ordinary kitchen (and my Valentine roses!) but guess why this picture is special?! I asked Isaac to unload the dishwasher since I had a headache after having had a filling replaced at the dentist and MORE carpet shopping afterwards. Not only did he unload the dishwasher but he loaded the dirty dishes AND scrubbed the pots and pans AND put them away AND wiped everything down! A most wonderful surprise! Thanks Isaac! I love you!

cha ching

Isn't this a great little painting? It sold fast, too! Kimberly and I are having fun with our young business, and even more fun spending the cash! So far, she's treated herself to a new dining room table, and I'm picking out new carpet! And as I was writing this, an email popped in that another painting sold! Click here to check out her blog and get 'em while they're hot!

the weather outside is frightful

Rewind to last Tuesday: bitter cold (that's minus 0.8 when I went to bed)

and 6 inches of snow!

This Tuesday! ICE!!

and lots of it!
