waiting for snow
Ah, she is, but here she was actually stalking the UPS man the other day.
He's getting to know us. Sophia gets orders, I take pictures of it.

the power of being willing to work
Well, she did it. Sophia took enough odd jobs (and I do mean odd) to make enough money to buy Emma a new dress.
She cut tape and wadded up magazines for my packaging supplies for shipping Kimberly's paintings.
She made me chase her around the house so I can loose a few pounds (yes, I hired her to help me with this).
She patiently and cheerfully modeled for me.
She did her regular chores and earned allowance.
Isaac paid her to do his chores.
She helped Nana rake leaves.
She made bracelets and necklaces and sold them to Daddy.
She worked hard, keeping her goal in sight: a blue satin dress.
Yesterday her hard (and strange) work paid off.

she's taking her new modeling job seriously
but probably only until she has enough to buy the American Girl dress that visits her in her dreams.

holding tight

She's Daddy's girl for now, but I wonder who is going to gaze into these eyes and steal her heart in 10 years.

fallin' for you
I'm sorry, Fall. I've never liked you before. Your cool, crisp air has always meant Winter was knocking on my door. But I think this year, this time, I might just be fallin' for you. Honey has always loved you, welcomed you. This year, this time, you're making me smile, too, and that's never a bad thing.

whatever works, right?

I had to negotiate a modeling contract and release form with Sophia Saturday. She was great with me taking pictures of her for a few minutes in the afternoon, but only if I didn't publish them. That's like sitting on a good secret.
I had to figure out a way to get these eyes on here. After all, we've got blog fans to please. All one of them. (hi, Nana!)
Sophia's been looking for work (again! I guess being addicted to American Girl dolls and their clothes is as bad as me being addicted to cameras and their lenses) so I told her I'd hire her to model for me and I'd also pay her for every picture that gets published.
Win-Win.
Until she tries to negotiate a raise.
