Isaac's Awesome Baby!

I am sooo excited! I figured out the glitch that was preventing my video camera from connecting to the computer. We heard hail pounding down around us this evening and as we looked outside Isaac spotted a full rainbow! We both ran for our cameras and he was the lucky one to snap just as lightening streaked across the sky! Then we noticed a second rainbow was forming!

Absolutely gorgeous!

motivated morning

I came out of the bedroom this morning and heard Steve Demme's voice downstairs! Sophia was already up, determined to get a head start on her school work. She knew she was starting a new math lesson, so she turned on the computer, put in the DVD, chose her lesson number, and watched!
and then she went to work...
I miss my babies, but you've got to love it when they gain independence and make you proud!

warm fuzzies

Kimberly and I have always loved "mini" things, like travel or trial sizes, so when I saw these "micro marshmallows" in Amish Country I thought they were too cute to pass up!! The only down side (??) was that we came home to 2 weeks of 70-80 degrees of beautiful weather and no one wanted hot chocolate! I shouldn't have been so disappointed!! We have been jolted with 30-40 degree weather all week! Yesterday Isaac and Sophia braved the cold to play outside and came in FREEZING with rosy cheeks! I whipped up some hot chocolate and they were warmed up in a micro minute.

Cousin Hannah was in Oklahoma! for her high school play this weekend. She wasn't cast as the main star, but she shone beautifully bright! She's in the center of both of these photos.
